Sweet, green, newly harvested peas – another fantastic summer flavor! The pea season in Denmark is from June to August, and then we put them in both our dishes and in our homemade juices. That way our guests can enjoy the sweet, green peas in their glasses as well. Peas have a fine and delicate flavor, which is why we do not put them in dishes with hot spices.

The peas are one of oldest plants we know of. In Asia and in the Middle East they have cultivated the plant for thousands of years. Yet we have the perfect conditions for cultivating peas in Denmark. The plant loves our cold summer weather, which is why we think fresh, Danish peas are the best of the best.
