Green, greyish, or yellowish? Oblong or round? Hard or soft? Whatever you prefer there is a pear for you to choose from one of the more than 100 different sorts growing in Denmark. At RADIO we get our pears from our little backyard at Lilleø (meaning Little Island) where they cultivate many sorts that are especially good for our cold climate. From August we get the first, freshly picked pears. This continues throughout the fall. Afterwards we receive pears which they have stored cold, stretching the pear season until April.

The sweet and mild flavor the pear is good in dessert, and at RADIO we like to pickle the pears and use them together with a strong cheese to balance the flavor.
